White Plains is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around White Plains is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

You donβt have to worry about serving me in the future. I would not return even if you gave me free tires. My appointment was at 5:00 PM I arrived 15 minutes early. I told your team that I would be waiting on my van because my son had hockey practice near by at 7:00 pm. They pulled my van in around 5:15. Around 5:45 I walked out side to take a look at my van ,thinking they would be finishing up, to my surprise there was not a single lug nut removed. The βmechanicβ that was supposed to be working on my van was sitting at the garage door smoking and playing on his phone. I walked back inside to the desk and asked if they could take my van off the lift so I could just leave,I had to have my son at the rink at 6:30. He reassured me it would be 30 mins or less and it would be all hands on deck. After about 10 mins of actual work the employees went back to just meandering around the garage like sloths. I had to persist on needing my van finished. As I watched them work painfully slow ( possibly deliberately slow) they finally were finishing up at 6:40. I had to tell them to not worry about the tire pressure or reinstalling the hubs cabs because we were already late. It was not busy whatso

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My father took his Chevy Equinox to Mavis to have two motor mounts replaced. After their inspection, they claimed it also needed control arms, rear shocks, CV axles, and an alignment. Over $3,000 later, he left with more questions than answers. The technician who worked on the vehicle told my father they replaced two motor mounts and even showed him the old parts. Yet somehow the invoice charged him parts and labor for four motor mounts. When he asked for an explanation, no one could give him a straight answer. To make matters worse, he was quoted three different labor rates by three different employees: $175/hour, $165/hour, and $155/hour. How does a repair shop not know its own labor rate? When he finally spoke with the general manager, he expected professionalism and an explanation. Instead, he got arrogance and disrespect. Rather than walking him through a $3,000 invoice, she dismissively told him to "add it up himself." Apparently, asking questions about a bill you've paid thousands of dollars for is too much to ask. Customer service doesn't stop once they've got your money. If your employees can't consistently explain what

Update: βFollowing the issues I experienced, I was contacted by Mr. Shane Holtsclaw. He was incredibly courteous, genuinely apologetic, and we were able to work out an amicable solution to the situation. After speaking with him, I felt like a valued customer. Because of his excellent professionalism and handling of the matter, I will definitely give his company another try in the future. Absolutely terrible experience. I brought my vehicle in and was told I needed an extensive list of repairs: brake rotors, bearings, brake pads, inner and outer tie rods, and tie rod adjusters. They explicitly quoted me a 3-hour turnaround time for the job. β9 hours later, the mechanic still couldn't get it done, and it stretched into the next day. They promised me it would absolutely be ready by 10:00 AM the next morning, but they missed that deadline too. They finally called me after lunch on day 2 to let me know the trucks alignment is as good as they can get it due to a control arm that cannot be adjusted. And when they test drove it they told me the brake calibers on both sides are freezing up now. They have said now they will try to replace them as well.To make matters worse, there was zero c

If I could honestly give the dealership in Somerset NJ a negative I would. Brought my vehicle in for a pulling to right. Advised to replace front struts. Picked up vehicle with pulling to right. Advised it was a tire. Replaced 4 tires and then developed a vibration. Switched my tires with a similar vehicle. No vibration. Mavis wouldn't take the tires back. I will never do or reccomend Mavis to anyone. I have my new Michelins on order at costco.

A random act of kindness completely saved me one day. I was longboarding near UNC Charlotte and when I got back to the parking lot my car battery was completely dead. I tried everything I could think of. I even longboarded all the way to Walmart to buy a portable jumper battery, which of course didnβt work because it needed to be charged first. At that point I was basically stranded and the parking lot was about to close at sundown. Out of nowhere Danny Eason walked across the lot and asked if I needed help. He jumped my car, got everything running, and was incredibly chill and kind the whole time. At one point I asked him, βDo you know anything about cars?β He just smiled and pointed at the Mavis Tires & Brakes logo on his shirt. I recently came across the photo I took of his business card from that day, June 22, 2025, and it reminded me how appreciative I was. I wanted to make sure I finally wrote this review to give him a shout out. Danny didnβt have to stop and help a random stranger but he did and it made a huge difference that day. Mavis is lucky to have someone like him on their team. Thank you again Danny. You seriously saved me that day. Mavis, if youβre reading thi
